Abstract Nitrocellulose is an important kind of energetic material produced by replacing hydroxyl cellulose molecule to nitro, which has a wide application range in social life. During transportation and storage, inevitably the quality nitrocellulose will be affected due external ambient heating. In this study, two kinds NC samples, original heated ones, were used as research objects taken into DSC experiments under several constant heating rates explore thermal history effects on its decomposition combustion behavior. A series calculation methods based model fitting main ways for research, so free methods. Numerical results method showed that reaction follows n -th model. The comparison between experimental samples claimed had positive influence heat flow, increased order process, decreased characteristic temperatures. So made more difficult take place stable. This study obviously meaningful pyrolysis process after history.
